Are there any risks associated with investing in art?
Yes, but they're not what you might think. It's true that the art market is incredibly volatile, and there are plenty of articles out there that warn you not to invest in art if you want your money to grow.

But those articles are written by people who would have you believe that the only way to make money from investing is through quick-turnaround "short" trades that can be made at lightning speeds. The truth is that investing in art isn't about making money—it's about creating something beautiful that will last forever.

If we think about it this way, then yes: investing in art is risky. You could spend years lovingly collecting pieces, only to find out later that they're worth nothing because someone else decided they were ugly or boring or just not worth anything anymore—and then all your hard work goes down the drain.
